Waxing Philosophically Upon Eating The Sunset

We were ancient when the worlds were new.

Twinkling
ideas of 'life-to-be' lighting up empty space;

slowly
filling the lonely void of absence.
We,
silently screaming
through the dark and empty night

leaving, simultaneously
both behind and in front of,
specters of ourselves

ever expanding
always ongoing.
